Updates

25 July, 2023

Many months after initial set up, I have returned to building. Along with learning HTML, CSS, and other programming languages, there is also a steep learning curve in how to design a website. Today was about familiarizing myself with CSS and begin testing text placement and style.

Changes made:

  1. Text font
  2. Text alignment
  3. Text effects and transformations
  4. Added "Updates" page and link

I am very proud of myself for learning the hover over opacity changes. This transformation will allow for text and links to remain accessible to a user without obscuring the collage images. I struggled with positioning the "Updates" and "About" pages: I'd prefer to have them in line with the title across the top of the window, aligned to the left and right respectively. In the end, I was not successful in figuring this out today. These changes only apply to the index page of my website so far.

Next steps are:

  1. Create master CSS file to apply style to all pages
  2. Align "Updates" and "About" pages with Infinite Collage Title
  3. Create welcome text box that includes instructions upon opening this page (like a pop up)
  4. Design styles for "Updates" and "About" pages
  5. Create transforming cursor sprite when hovering over portals
  6. Animate portals
